A Badly Written Beis - This Beis, from a very old Torah Scroll, is missing its heel and ornaments. However, the top and bottom back-corners are still well defined enough to qualify it as per its fundamental form. Therefore, the letter is still kosher. Nevertheless, a heel should still be added.

Two Beis From a Beautifully Written Iraqi Megillas Esther (Esther Scroll).  Note that the upper back-corners of these letters are rounded - this is accepted by many Sephardic Jews, but Ashkenazim hold that both rear-corners must be clearly defined and sharp.
