Here is an Aleph from a 350 year-old German Torah scroll:

In this scroll, all of the Alephs were written like this. There is a big difference between this Aleph and the accepted way of writing Aleph. Can you spot the problem? Does it need to be corrected?

Here is the name Achashveyrosh – the Persian king of the Book of Esther. Consider the Aleph which begins his name; is it Ksav Ari or Ksav Beis Yoseif?

Hello, Friends!

Here are the first two videos in a series on the form of the Hebrew Letters. The Torah scroll is written in a special script called ksav ashuris. Governed by a unique blend of Kabbala (Jewish mysticism) and Halacha (Jewish religious law), the form of each Hebrew letter in this special script communicates worlds of meaning in both the hidden and revealed realms.

These two videos are the first two in the series and serve to introduce some basic concepts. My goal will be to post 1 to 2 new videos per week , so please check back regularly, and please remember to show your support by donating toward the completion of this exciting project!
